Papa Tom's Pizza is a gem in the Gem State! Okay, so Papa Tom's Pizza is not much to look at from the outside. It's located in an old-looking shopping center about a mile from the mall. The outside window still wore the paint of last year's Christmas decorations, even though it was August. The inside is not much to look at either. But not many people seem to care about the ambiance, judging by the line of people who were waiting to buy pizza on a Friday night at Papa Tom's. Because it's all about the pizza, and this pizza is da bomb! In fact, I make it to Idaho Falls about once every two years and Papa Tom's is a must stop! It's all about the pizza crust. It's not too thin, not too thick, with a just right crackery crunchy texture on the bottom, and chewy on the top. The use real cheese and you can tell by the way it melts and strings as you pick up your very first delicious slice. Pizza is my favorite food group and I love all types. But this one is one of my favorites by far.

Ok so... Service...ok. Cleanliness...ok. Size...very accommodating. Location...perfect. Staff...ehhh. Pizza...DELICIOUS. Can't beat it no matter how hard anyone tries! I think the taste of the pizza will overpower anything else negative about the place. I've been eating Papa Tom's my whole life. Our family knows the owner...my brother worked there for several years...I've had a lot of friends that worked there in high school...and throughout all the years...Papa Tom's has always had the best pizza. Crab salad is delish too. I eat there every time I'm back in the area. Perfect place for pizza and beer. Pool tables...plenty of room for big groups.

As you can observe by the other reviews, you either love this place or hate it. Having eaten here for years, let me say this. The atmosphere service and cleanliness probably rate two stars, but the pizza is a different story. The pizza can be a 5 star pizza or a 1 star pizza depending on the day and I believe most of that has to do with cleanliness. The bad pizzas typically have burnt "stuff" on the bottom, I assume from not cleaning the ovens often enough. All in all, the five star pizzas outnumber the one star pizzas and if continues to be my favorite.

I refuse to believe any of the high ratings on this place that claims that the pizza tastes great. It's terrible. I took my family here on a recommendation, and we were very unimpressed. After being served our salad, as I was dishing it up to my kids, my wife noticed tiny black gnat-flies crawling around on the tomatoes. We did not complain, we just didn't eat the tomatoes. When I went to the counter to ask for a knife to cut my kids pizza, they looked around and could not find a single knife in the kitchen. We brushed it all off, anticipating the 'great' pizza that would be coming. Unfortunately, that's when we were disappointed. The taste was so-so. The dough was tasteless, thin, hard, and tough; like ripping cardboard with your teeth. Being that we were recently from out of state, maybe we just were not used to local pizza, but this was terrible! We will never be back,

Apparently the west side of town is too far for delivery... Doesn't seem right to me that they only deliver right in the city of Idaho falls. I live literally 10 mins from them. It's not easy to pack up the kids and go pick up food sometimes. Not impressed

Okay two stars for taste. Service not good. Prices ridiculous. I don't know if the pizza is worth it . But the Philly cheese stake was dinky and I paid ten for it . I don't see how this place is four stars honestly. People probably like it cuz their drunk. Or owners friends.

Best pizza in a 50 mile radius. So yummy! The blue cheese ranch is probably the best sauce on the planet.

My favorite pizza joint in Idaho Falls. It gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights so be ready for a bit of a wait but I personally love being where the party's at.

Great food and customer service! Courtney was so kind and great at what she does. It was pretty busy when we came in to make our to go order but she kept her cool and was very organized. I will be back with friends and family! Go Courtney! Thank you!

The pizza here is amazing. It's thin crust only so if you want stuffed crust or something like that you can head down to Pizza Hut. The sauce is great, not too spicy and everything is fresh. You won't be disappointed.

Any one who rated this pizza good is either a friend or family of the owners. Crust resembles a saltine cracker in taste and looks, and ingredients are sparse. Thought I was eating a frozen pizza honestly!

My husband and myself ordered take out from Papa Toms and were very disappointed with the quality of food and service. We had scheduled a birthday party here for our little girl and went in to check it out since the food had turned out gross and in the end canceled it due to several reasons. One its super dark inside and the atmosphere is not friendly at all. It feels dirty inside. There was NO customer services as we stood in line to get the rest of the information and had to wait twenty minutes to talk to someone while the boy taking orders flirted with the girls that had jumped in front of us, which he acknowledged but said nothing about. Finally as we went to order a server who was just handling money jumped over and started touching the food without washing his hands. And if not for the service they wanted to have our party in a room that was not only filthy but was also being used for storage. Not a great combination for kids. Over all I think this place was disgusting and I would not recommend it to anyone for party or just take out.

I was treated to carry out, so I can only talk about the pizza. Don't know about the cost or service. But the pizza was Great! Thin crust, LOTS of toppings - covered with mushrooms and black olives and garlic and sausage - and a flavorful sauce. I'd definitely order from them.

If you're like me and hate the bland taste of commercial pizza chain pizzas then this is the place for you. This is definately the locals best kept secret. Upon entering the resteraunt you can tell it needs some updating but don't let that deter you the food is well worth it. I've been eating there ever since I can remember and have never had a bad meal. I would love to offer a recommendation but I simply can't because all of their pizzas are my favorites. Please try them!

Sorry Papa Tom's ... I have to give you 2 Stars because "Meh. I've experienced better." Not only better pizza but better service. I ordered this za last week while staying in Idaho Falls for work. I always check Yelp and your place was the best ... I was very excited to enjoy your cheese pizza! You said it would be here in about 30 minutes. An hour later I called, you said it should be a few minutes .... about 15 minutes later a semi-warm pizza arrived and it was mediocre. Luckily, pizza is like sex to me...its never that bad....but I def wont be ordering from here again. Live on Vitamin P!
